Imagination Underground is opening a learning space for tarot, the I Ching, and the herbal arts. Our first live workshop is a beginner's introduction to the I Ching, taught on Zoom by Janice McCullough. More classes are on the way.

I Ching for Beginners
A friendly, plain-language start to one of the world's oldest books of wisdom. No experience needed. You'll cast your first hexagram during the class and leave knowing how to keep practicing on your own.

Small group, so there's time for questions (10 students max)
Announced to the interest list first
Three coins (same type, example: 3 quarters), a notebook (or the printed template that I will email to you), pen or pencil, and a question.
What you'll learn

How to cast a hexagram with three coins and record each line

How to read a hexagram from its two trigrams

What changing lines mean, and how a reading moves to a second hexagram

How to word a question so the answer is useful

How to keep a casting log and notice patterns over time.
Included: the Imagination Underground beginner I Ching guidebook and casting templates, the I Ching hexagram chart, and casting template, sent via email prior to class start.
